On Monday, February 9, 2026, the Asia Pacific Foundation of

Canada (APF Canada) hosted its fourth annual Investor

Summit, held on the margins of the Canada-in-Asia

Conference 2026 in Singapore.

This exclusive, invite-only gathering brought together

leading investors from across Canada and Asia, including

senior fund managers and asset allocators, venture capital

and private equity funds, family offices, and institutional investors, alongside Canadian innovators and influential ecosystem builders. Together, the session fostered innovation, collaboration, and investment between Canada and the Indo-Pacific. Last year’s Summit brought together participants hailing from Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, the United States, and beyond.

Investor Summit attendees were provided complimentary access to the Canada-in-Asia Conference 2026 – the premier gathering of Canadian and Asian leaders in business, investment, research, and government – on February 10-11, 2026. 2026's conference centred around three key pillars: food security, energy security, and infrastructure.

Fireside Chat

Strategic Security: Positioning Capital in a Shifting Global Order

As global markets adjust to global megatrends—including geopolitical realignment, the climate transition, and accelerating AI deployment—investors across Canada and Asia are reassessing how capital is positioned for long-term resilience and growth. Looking beyond near-term volatility or tech-driven cycles, this fireside conversation explores how structural ruptures in the global order are influencing investment strategy and long-term value creation.

The discussion focuses on how geopolitical and security dynamics are interpreted as part of long-term investment frameworks; where underlying fundamentals remain strong across regions and sectors; how these shifts shape asset allocation that affect company scaling pathways across stages; and how Canada–Asia partnerships can be structured to scale through periods of uncertainty. Drawing on both policy and institutional perspectives, the conversation will highlight how periods of global turbulence are accelerating market differentiation—creating opportunity at the intersection of productivity gains, real-world applications, and strategic regional advantages—and where Canada and Asia are well positioned to lead and partner in translating megatrends into durable, long-term value.
