Thursday, February 20, 3:15-4:15pm

For over five decades, Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC) has supported research to improve people’s lives across the world, including Asia. With a strong focus on co-creating knowledge with Southern researchers and in partnership with Canadian institutions, IDRC's projects are catalyzing sustainable, scalable solutions that empower individuals and strengthen institutions.

This side event will highlight insights from key research initiatives across Asia and demonstrate how this research has informed policy and action to help build a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient Asia over the decades. Representatives from IDRC, leading research institutions, think tanks and development agencies will share insights on their work, including from IDRC-supported research initiatives and its impact on development policymaking.

This panel will also focus on the critical role of IDRC in supporting research for development priorities and opportunities across Asia.
