
David Enriquez
Vice-President, External Relations and International Affairs, Mitacs (Canada)
David Enriquez is Vice-President, External Relations and International Affairs, at Mitacs, one of Canada’s leading innovation organizations, where he leads global engagement across 25+ countries, strengthening partnerships with Canadian and international post-secondary institutions and aligning international initiatives with Canada’s innovation and economic priorities.
He has held senior international leadership roles across the public and non-profit sectors, including with WE and Engineers Without Borders Canada, leading global programs and capacity-building initiatives in Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. David also served as an Economic Policy Advisor with the U.S. Department of State, working in Mexico City and Washington, D.C. on the SDG Agenda 2030, labour affairs, and STEM education in Latin America. He continues to work as a Development Consultant with the United Nations Development Programme.
David holds a master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Studies from Harvard University and a master’s degree in International Economic Development from Boston University.
